Which laser ADVISER

RGB full-colour lasers can produce virtually any colour including white. In these days an audience expects to see a full range of colours rather then single colour lasers (especially in small clubs and medium size venues). However, single green lasers are still the best choice for large outdoor applications where long distance visibility is required - mainly because the human eye is more sensitive to green colour then any other.

The requirements on output power of lasers depend on environment where the lasers are used. During an indoor events we use smoke machines and hazers to make sure that we are able to see the lasers at their full potential. The more smoke or haze we use (to sensible extent), the better the lasers look. While it is very easy to achieve this indoors, it can be extremely difficult outdoors. Due to unpredictable weather conditions (mainly the wind) smoke or haze machines are often not very effective and that's when high-power lasers come into play.

None or very little smoke or haze will make the lasers difficult to see. Too much of it will shorten the viewing distance dramatically. It is very important to find the right balance between the audience safety, laser effectivity and amount of haze or smoke in the air.

If the whether conditions are right, high-power lasers can be visible for over 20 kilometres. Please be aware about possible and dangerous (also illegal) interference with aircrafts!

"Normal" laser-show where you see all the tunnels, planes and beams are called atmospheric laser show. This is the most common type of laser-show.

Lasers can also be used very effectively for projecting graphics (i.e. company logos).

The speed of the scanning system determines how many points (amount of graphics) the laser can display at one time. Basic systems can do tunnels, planes (lines) or any other simple shapes as well as basic text (using simple text font and a few letters).

If more complex designs need to be projected (i.e. 3D moving animations), then laser with a faster scanning system is required.
